Overview
Guided tour:
Families will begin the tour in the library with a short story about shared values, then enjoy a quick, guided look at an artwork exploring dignity, equality, and community. In the studio, families will create a mini–Reflection Mat artwork using bold colour, mosaic-like textures, fringe, and one chosen value word (peace, mercy, generosity, gratitude). Each family will take home a simple reminder of care, reflection, and togetherness.
Workshop:
Ramadan is a time of reflection, kindness, and community. In Husain’s artwork Bilal, we see a visual message about dignity, equality, and belonging values that many families reflect on during this season. In this workshop, families will explore how pattern, border, symbol, and color can express ideas like peace, gratitude, and generosity - then translate those ideas into a mini “reflection mat” design (a personal space of intention and care).
