Overview
This is the fourth edition of the 'Memory of Private Collections in Qatar' seminar series, celebrating the vital role individuals play in preserving family libraries - pillars of Qatar’s cultural heritage, and a shared legacy for future generations.
The seminar will feature Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, former President of Qatar’s Sharia Courts and son of the late Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud; and Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidan, former Professor of Political Science at Qatar University.
The speakers will explore one of Qatar’s most significant private collections: the Library of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, which houses rare manuscripts, books., and historical documents that reflect Qatar’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage.
