Al Shaqab

Al Shaqab is one large community that is dedicated to the preservation of heritage which includes equine education, breeding and welfare of the horses, and research. There is a wide range of programs conducted to promote this legacy and respect the breed that has been a part of Qatar for generations. Al Shaqab organizes tours for schools, government agencies, public and private tours to raise awareness of the equestrian tradition and heritage. There are racing shows scheduled, where the horses, especially the Arabian horse, complete 160km in 10-12 hours.

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art

Discover the modern and contemporary art by the finest artisans around at the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art. Inaugurated in 2010, the Museum lies in Education City, welcoming art enthusiasts to discover contemporary art from countries like Turkey, Iran, and other countries from North America and Asia. It all started in 1990 when H.E. Sheikh Hassan Bin Mohamed Bin Ali Al Thani began the journey of collecting spectacular pieces of art from around the world.

Today the Museum holds more than 9,000 artworks in its collection that is exhibited. Visitors can benefit from the educational programs provided with the historical tours organized at the Arab Museum of Modern Art, along with exhibitions conducted by solo artists or groups.

Education City Golf Club

It is one of the most remarkable projects in Qatar and the most spectacular architectural Golf Course in the country. The Educational City Golf Club with three golf courses is designed by José María Olazábal as an 18-hole championship course, 6-hole floodlit championship course, and 9-hole floodlit par 3 courses.

Among the three, the 18-hole championship course is maintained well and is famous in the country for hosting the European Tour and the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. The Education City Golf Club offers lessons with practice grounds and facilities like golf academy, rental facility, and more.

Education City Stadium

The Education City Stadium is all set to welcome football enthusiasts to cheer for their team during the FIFA World Cup 2022. Located rightly in Education City, amidst the best universities and campuses, the stadium is the new attraction in Education City, Doha.

For now, the seating capacity of the stadium is extended to 40,000. As a long-term plan, this will be reduced to 25,000 which will be used by the university teams later after the FIFA event.
